Christian Formation

For Adults

The Adult Christian Formation group is starting up for the fall and will begin using a new format.  It is the Synthesis series which explores the readings for each Sunday to help us learn and grow spiritually.  We hope you can join the discussion group at 9:30 in the parish hall parlor.  There is no weekly commitment.  We welcome you to drop in any Sunday, and an added perk is enjoying breakfast beginning around 8:45 or 9:00.

Children & Youth

Christian Formation classes meet on Sunday mornings for children ages three and older. The Middler Youth class (fifth – twelfth grade) are under the leadership of Chuck Spangler & Angie Tyrone. They enjoy examining the biblical texts used for contemporary Christian music. Younger children explore key Bible stories using the Godly Play method of storytelling and response. Leaders for this group include Laurie Bailey and Pat Hutchinson.

Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has invited the whole church to take up The Way of Love, a “rule of life” focused on practices for a Jesus-Centered Life. During the year, both classes will explore the seven practices that make up The Way of Love: Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go and Rest.

Sunday School takes place mid-August through May. We gather for both classes in the Parish Hall just before 9:30 a.m. Come for breakfast at 9 o’clock. All children/youth and their friends are invited to participate.
